A UI Designer designs beautiful, usable user interfaces. They have an exceptional eye for clean, beautiful, timeless, crafted and artful design. They possess world-class design skills and are able to translate concepts, wireframes and products into high-fidelity designs and prototypes. They are creative problem solvers who dream about icons and interactions, obsess a little too much about colour, know their Serifs from their Sans Serifs, and can't live without a variant or an auto layout.


Roles & responsibilities:

  • As a critical part of the global creative team you will play an integral part in giving creative expression to the brands you are responsible for across multiple products and platforms
  • You can confidently articulate your ideas and present compelling, beautiful, intuitive designs to all stakeholders
  • You're a prototype ninja and are able to convey every last nuance of your high-fidelity designs to your team and clients
  • Design experiences across a multitude of device types 
  • Build design systems
  • Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and designs
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineer
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours and images
  • Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)

Experience & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in interaction design
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams (motion, interaction, UX research, engineering, UX writer) on technical implementation
  • Experience implementing visual design systems across a range of platforms in an iterative software development environment.
  • Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. Adobe CC, Sketch, Figma, Framer, InVision Studio).
  • Experience in After Effects, HTML, CSS, Wordpress advantageous
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile, Android and iOS.
  • Proven ability in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
  • Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
